About the Role
We are seeking a vigilant, compassionate, and detail-oriented Healthcare Screening Officer to join our frontline team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff—playing a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment within our healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct temperature checks and symptom screenings at facility entry points
- Verify vaccination status or health declarations as required
- Enforce infection control protocols, including mask-wearing and hand hygiene
- Direct individuals to appropriate departments or waiting areas
- Maintain accurate records of daily screenings and incident reports
- Respond calmly and professionally to health-related concerns or emergencies
- Collaborate with security, nursing, and administrative teams to ensure safety compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare-related training is a plus
- Prior experience in healthcare, security, or customer service preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
- Basic knowledge of infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
